Leading off the auction is the only known copy of Babe Ruth’s rookie card with the obscure Green Joyce Sporting Goods advertisement on the reverse. There are no less than 10 lots featuring the “Sultan of Swat” including a marvelous 1933 Goudey graded PSA 8. Nineteenth century enthusiasts will find a smorgasbord of unique and seldom seen cabinets and cards. Baseball’s first professional team, the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings, is offered with the rare team lineup printed on the back.
