Anaheim CA. - The McClemmy Companies and Leaf Trading Cards, Inc. will release to attendees at the 2012 Baseball Expo in Anaheim an exclusive trading card set commemorating Anaheim's first title. The set features three prominent players, Garret Anderson, Tim Salmon and Scott Spiezio, from the October 2002 historic series with San Francisco. All three players are also scheduled to appear at the EXPO on April 6th or April 7th at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel.
Leaf trading Cards, Dallas Texas, will produce 2002 of each of the (3) three cards in the set. Each card will depict one of the three heroes from the 2002 championship baseball season that will be appearing at the EXPO. Card number one (Tim Salmon) will be distributed on Friday April 6. Card number 2 (Scott Spiezio) will be released on Saturday April 7. Cards one and two will be distributed free to the first 1000 fans each day that purchase an admission ticket and attend the EXPO. The last card in the set, card number three (Garret Anderson), can be obtained from participating Exhibitors at the EXPO or on line on the events website www.2012baseballexpo.com. Fans that cannot attend both dates, and or wish to complete their sets may purchase their missing card on the events website.
Rare public appearances by Garret Anderson and Scott Spiezio will highlight the 2012 Baseball Expo's line up of MLB greats set to sign autographs in the Autograph Pavilion. Tim Salmon, Steve Garvey, Rex Hudler, Jay Johnstone, Ken Forsch, Clyde Wright and others are also scheduled to appear. Individual autographs vary in price and some player autographs are free. All available information regarding dates, times, prices and players scheduled to attend will be listed by date and function at www.2012baseballexpo.com (look for the schedule tab). Many of the players will provide fans with a free half hour skills clinic on such areas as hitting, pitching, fielding and base running in the EXPO's Interactive Fan Zone after their autograph session.
Tickets to the EXPO can be purchased on the events website at www.2012baseballexpo.com . Children under 12 will be admitted to the EXPO free. Individual admission tickets can be purchased for as little as $10 per day. A limited number of 2-day passes which include the commemorative 3 card set are also available.
