This is landmark set of the first order, probably Bowman's response to Topp's smash hit of 1952. Many fans regard 1953 Bowman as a "Perfect" baseball card design: simple, uncluttered Kodachrome photography. Like the '52 Topps set, tremendous demand has caused prices for these cards to skyrocket in recent years.
