The 1955 Parkhurst Hockey set consists of 79 cards measuring 2-1/2" by 3-9/16" each. Each card featured a colorful likeness of the respective player with his name along the bottom border and team logo resting in the corner. The set is anchored by Harry Lumley (#1), Tim Horton (#3), Maurice Richard (#37) and Jean Beliveau (#44) plus the rookie card of Jacques Plante (#50). The set was issued in two versions, one featuring 1954 statistics, a short biography, an information section, and an offer for a card album, with the second version bearing an advertisement for Quaker Oats. The latter version is considered more scarce, with the cards of Lumley, Richard and King Clancy (#33) being the most difficult Quaker Oats backs to obtain. As is often the case, the first and last card in the set were victimized by rubber band wear.
