About this set: My favorite football set is certainly under-appreciated and undervalued. Incredibly, 30 of the 120 players in this set are in the Football Hall of Fame. The cards are great clear photos, somewhat reminiscent of the 1953 Bowman Baseball set. Each player's name is listed in a football-shaped logo on the bottom of the card. The team cards have checklists on the back. Stars like Jim Brown, Bart Starr and Jim Taylor are here [ although it's not his picture on the card!] And yes the #1 card Johnny Unitas does look like the HOF QB needs Prozac! I completed this set in April of 2005. At the time, its GPA was 8.83...the second place set was 8.11. The highest possible GPA was 8.88. At completion, the only PSA 10's ever graded for this set...Gain and Atkins... were included here. In addition, there were 20 1 of 1 PSA 9's. It's a set I very much enjoyed putting together and one that I will always be proud of.
