About this set: The 1981 Philadelphia Phillies sported a great team, finishing 59-48 for the strike-shortened season.
As much as he could be depended on in every other postseason, Steve Carlton pitched poorly in the NL Division Series against the Montreal Expos. Steve Rogers pitched two masterful performances, outdueling Carlton both times, leaving the Phillies on the short-end of the three games to two series.
Nonetheless, it was an amazing team reuniting the vast majority of the 1980 World Champions. A very tough set to find in high-grade, the included cards in this collection are all gems.
