Topps' first set using the standard 2 ½ x 3 ½ format showed the company continuing at peak form. Added to the usual excellent design was the innovation of complete yearly statistics on the back. Player selection remained top-notch with some great rookie cards thrown in for good measure (Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, and Jim Bunning).
