This is an extremely popular vintage set. It is often called the "Heads Up" set as the players are pictured with a large head photograph on a small cartoon body. The numbering on this series is strange, starting at #241 where the 1933 set left off. In another oddity 24 different players are pictured twice in the set. The backs of the cards include statistics and a player biography. Stars of the "Heads Up" set include Jimmie Foxx (spelled "Jimmy" on the cards), Joe DiMaggio, Bob Feller and Hank Greenberg.
