For its time, this must have been one of the most exhaustively researched card sets ever produced! With the subjects ranging from baseball players to alpine skiers and dog sled racers, it is little wonder that this set is so beloved.

Recent years have seen this set grow in popularity at an almost astronomical pace; to say that this issue is one of the most desirable pre - WWII card sets today would probably not be an exaggeration. Alongside Babe Ruth and Jim Thorpe a few others of the many illustrious names on this roster include Red Grange, Johnny Weissmuler, Jack Dempsey, and Babe Didrickson.
