This 144-card set features some of the most legendary sportscards in the hobby. Inserted into the famous candy boxes (Cracker Jacks), these cards are extraordinarily difficult to find and virtually impossible to locate in top condition. Unlike the 1915 set, there was no great "find" or pristine sets available from the manufacturer, making the 1914's very tough to obtain. The 1915 set is tough, but this set has a clear edge in difficulty. The set features wonderful cards of Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Napoleon Lajoie, and many more. Perhaps the two most interesting cards in the set are the Shoeless Joe Jackson and Christy Mathewson cards. The Jackson is regarded as his most valuable card and the Mathewson is not only a variation (the pose differed from the 1915 issue - Christy is seen pitching in the 1914 set), it is an incredible rarity. Seldom seen in any grade, this card is highly desirable. Overall, this is an extremely important yet difficult set - a tremendous challenge for the most advanced collector.
