This large set contains 161 cards numbered 1-162 (no #126 was ever issued). There are also numerous varieties, as many different spellings and letter sizes were used. The 2½" by 3-1/8" size is larger than most cards of the day, and the quality of the player photographs is far superior to earlier issues. Gum Incorporated distributed these cards, with three in each pack of "Play Ball America" bubble gum. Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams are among the major stars in this set.
