Bowman's sophomore effort was an improvement over its '48 set both in increased player selection and the addition of color. This set also featured a strong group of debut cards, including Robin Roberts, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, Satchel Paige, Duke Snider, and Richie Ashburn - impressive!
