AUTOGRAPH AUTHENTICATION:

    To determine the fee of your single-signed item, look up the fee for the autograph on-line. Authentication for 1 signature ranges between $20-$500 depending upon the autograph. For an exact price, please search for the autograph in our fee schedule.

    (All signatures will be authenticated) To determine the fee of your multi-signed item, first, look up the fee for the premier autograph. Next, count the total number of autographs. Then, refer to the chart below for the total authentication fee.

    Premier Autograph:
    The premier autograph is the autograph that holds the most value.

    The authentication fee for a multi-signed item (2-49 signatures), with a Premier Autograph that has an authentication fee of $150 or higher, remains the same as the single-signed Premier Autograph rate.
    For 50+ Autographs, call for rates
    Example 1: A single signed Nolan Ryan photo would be $20.

    Example 2: If there are 22 autographs on the item with Nolan Ryan as the Primary ($20), the fee based on the chart above is $150.

    Example 3: Babe Ruth's authentication fee is $300. Whether it is a single-signed item or an item with multiple signatures the authentication fee remains $300 as there is no change in the authentication rate for multi-signed items once the Premier Autograph surpasses the $150 fee.

    Premium letter upgrade (optional): Items submitted with an authentication fee lower than $50 are issued a small 3x3 Certificate of Authenticity. Full Premium Letters of Authenticity are available for an additional fee of $10. Full Premium Letters are automatically issued for items submitted at $50 and above. No additional payment is required.

    Replacements for missing or lost Certificates or Letters of Authenticity are available at $10 each. To request a new Certificate or Letter of Authenticity, please contact us by telephone at (800) 325-1121.

    Turnaround time is approximately 20 business days once we receive your submission into our system.

    RookieBall™/RookieGraph™

    AUTOGRAPH GRADING FEES:

    Autographed Baseball Grading: A single signed baseball would receive two individual grades for the condition of the autograph and baseball, and one overall grade.

    Autograph Grading Service (all other autographed items): A single signed item (other than a baseball) would receive one grade - a grade reflecting the condition of the autograph only. Read about the PSA/DNA Autograph Grading Process for more details.

    • Example 1: A single-signed Mickey Mantle baseball would be $100 for the Authentication Fee. Based on the Grading Chart Above, it would be $50 for the Grading Fee, for a total fee of $150.
    • Example 2: Ted Williams/Stan Musial signed baseball would be $100 based on the more expensive Williams autograph. Since there are two autographs, on Chart A, the Authentication Fee would be $100. Based on Chart B, the Grading Fee would be $50, for a total of $150.

    Turnaround time is approximately 20 business days once we receive your submission into our system.

    Autograph and photograph authentication are separate services. In order to have the autograph authenticated, you must fill out a separate PSA/DNA Authentication submission form. Both submission forms must accompany the item. Separate authentication fees apply. Fees are listed above.

    5 Business Days Guaranteed
    This service is available for items you would like completed in 5 business days. Add $50 per order (1-5 items) or add $100 per order (6-10 items) for a 5-day turnaround guaranteed service. For orders with more than 10 items call Customer Service for pricing. PSA/DNA will have your order completed 5 business days following the day our receiving department processes your order. Shipment time is not included. Package must be marked SUPER EXPRESS on the outside of the package. Guarantees are invalid during the weeks of the major authentication shows PSA/DNA attends.
    PREMIUM ITEM FEE:
    Additional $50
    Any autograph submission priced under $200 with a declared value of $1,500 or more is subject to an additional Premium Item Fee of $50. Example: A regular Mickey Mantle autograph submission is priced at $100. If the Mantle autograph is found on a bat or jersey, items that are clearly worth more than $1,500, the additional $50 fee will apply; resulting in a total authentication fee of $150.


    ENCAPSULATION:

    Photograph Encapsulation: For photos (and other flats) that measure approximately 8x10 or slightly smaller, and fit in a photo holder. Autograph Grading is required.
    1. Photographs submitted under the Autograph Grading service with an authentication fee of $50 or more will receive both encapsulation in a semi-rigid holder and a Premium Letter of Authenticity. Those items under $50 can be upgraded to a Premium Letter for an additional fee of $10.
    2. Photographs already authenticated and graded by PSA/DNA can be encapsulated for a $8 reholder fee (original LOA must be surrendered at time of submission).

    Other Encapsulation: For items such as checks, index cards, cuts, postcards, uncatalogued cards, catalogued cards requiring autograph grade, ect. that you would like encapsulated in PSA/DNA's tamper-evident holder.

    1. Encapsulation, if you choose the service, is now included in the PSA/DNA authentication fee. All autographs submitted for encapsulation must be submitted as a separate order from items not being encapsulated (separate shipping fees apply).
    2. If encapsulation in our tamper-evident holder is selected, the submitter will forgo the Certificate or full Premium Letter, PSA/DNA tamper-evident label and DNA daub.
    3. If the customer chooses, they may request both encapsulation and the Letter of Authenticity for an additional fee of $10.
    4. Please note that encapsulation is only available for items that fit in Holders Currently Available.
    Turnaround time is approximately 20 business days once we receive your submission into our system.
    ON-SITE SHOW AUTHENTICATION:
    On-site authentication is available at various trade shows throughout the nation and the fee ranges between $20-$500. Turnaround time is approximately 1 business day once we receive your submission.
    Certificates and Letters of Authenticity are issued by mail approximately 15 business days after the completion of a show. Turnaround time is also dependent upon demand in both cases. To see if PSA/DNA will be providing onsite authentication at an upcoming show check our Show Schedule.
    ON-SITE AUTHENTICATION AT YOUR LOCATION:
    Private authentication at your location and auction house authentication is available. Please contact customer service at (800) 325-1121 and speak to our representatives for details.
    OTHER SERVICES:
    Bulk Authentication is available. Prices are based upon the volume and type of autographs you plan to submit. To request this service, please contact us by telephone at (800) 325-1121.

    PSA/DNA Pre-Certified Logo PSA/DNA is hired by many leading auction houses to authenticate autographs in their catalogs prior to sale. Please look for our Pre-Certified Logo in participating auction catalogs or web-sites. In these instances, auction letters are issued and upgrades to full premium letters are available.

    To take advantage of this upgrade opportunity, please send your item in with proof of purchase from the auction house (copy of receipt) along with the COA/LOA upgrade fee. Please note that your receipt will not be returned.

    AUTOGRAPH AUCTION CROSSOVER:

    If you are the winning bidder of an autograph lot that carries a PSA/DNA competitor's auction letter of authenticity (LOA), there's one way to make sure you're even happier with your new purchase. Cross over to PSA/DNA Authentication Services.

    Effective October 15, 2009, any autograph submitted to PSA/DNA with an original auction letter of authenticity (LOA) from a competitor will be eligible for a special discount. If you submit the autographed item along with the competitor's auction LOA, we'll give you 30% off the regular submission fee. Our superior brand helps maximize the value of your prized autographs, and gives both buyers and sellers peace of mind.

    All you need to do is fill out the PSA/DNA submission form and attach the original competitor's auction letter of authenticity (LOA) in order to receive the 30% off discount.
