1989 Perez-Steele Celebration Postcards – "Celebrating" the 25th Anniversary of a Hall of Fame Postcard Set

In Pursuit of The Big HurtIn 1989, a vibrant baseball-themed set called Perez-Steele Celebration Postcards was released. At the time, the entire set was devoted to living Hall of Famers and it included the likes of Roy Campanella, Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams to name a few. This small but colorful set is one that autograph collectors have always liked, yet the set has remained relatively affordable compared to other autographed mediums. In the following article, we talk to collectors who pursue this now 25-year old issue and find out what makes it so appealing.

The 1963 Topps Hockey Card Set – It's All about George

1986 Topps Footbal Card SetTopps was one year away from releasing one of their most popular hockey cards sets of all-time, the 1964 Topps Tall Boys, but the 1963 Topps issue should not be overlooked. While absent a healthy selection of key rookie cards, the set does have a large number of Hall of Famers throughout like Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita. It also contains a tough checklist (card #66), the final card in the set, but the toughest card in the set to find in high-grade just might be a name most collectors are unfamiliar with – George Sullivan. In the following piece, we dig deeper into this often overlooked set.
