Needle in the Haystack

Collectors have always hoped to uncover a hidden gem…a card that has survived the journey through the decades in remarkable condition. Cards like this, no doubt, are few and far between. The 1974 Topps Basketball Set

As the 2013 NBA season starts to wind down, we take a look back at one of the classic sets of the 1970s. The 1974 Topps basketball set is not filled with superstar rookies like some of its predecessors but this 264-card set is one of the largest basketball card sets every made. Set Registry Spotlight

Brian Karl - The Number One Current Finest 1971 Topps Brady Bunch Set
From 1969 to 1974, The Brady Bunch aired and quickly became a favorite of families across the nation. Carol and Mike Brady brought their three boys and three girls together and the mayhem ensued. This 88-card set, which is considered a test issue by most hobbyists, is relatively tough to find in high-grade for a post-1970 trading card issue. That is due in part to the fragile, colored borders and poor centering, which plagues many of the cards. This year's winner is the finest Brady Bunch set ever registered on the site, carrying a GPA of 8.02. Click here to view this set.
