EXPERT'S CORNER
PSA Q & A Question: I have a collection of autographed bats and I am running out of room very fast. Do you have any suggestions?Answer: There are a lot of different ways to display bats. For a more prominent display, wall bat cases are a great choice. They can be a real attention-grabber when people walk into the room. The only problem is that most of us have some limit on the amount of wall space available. A nice alternative is the floor bat rack. They come in various styles and shapes. You can even find nice replicas of vintage bat racks. The beauty of these racks is that you can fit a large number of bats on them without taking up a great deal of space. Some of them can fit 24 bats or more. The only possible issue here is that these bats are exposed and not behind a protective shield like the wall cases are. If you choose to go this route, make sure that the area is not subject to lots of traffic (or territorial dogs). In addition, as with all autographed collectibles, lighting is a key so make sure the items are not subject to direct sunlight.
