PSA COLLECTOR SPOTLIGHT
PSA Q & A Question: I am collecting autographed Baseball Hall of Fame Plaques and know there are some major rarities in the set, including some that are impossible to find signed for one reason or another. How scarce is a signed Babe Ruth plaque?Answer: Autographed Baseball Hall of Fame Plaques are great collectibles and, as you mentioned, some are quite rare. Babe Ruth is one of them. While there is no way to be certain how many exist in total, only a handful of authentic examples have been discovered, with the last example selling for well in excess of $50,000 due to the rarity. The reason for the rarity is that there was a very small window for Ruth to sign them prior to his death in 1948. The ones that were signed are very desirable.
