Brooks Robinson Player Sets - Collecting the Human Vacuum Cleaner
As a player, Brooks Robinson made a name for himself on the field with his glove and his bat. From a defensive standpoint, he is considered the best third baseman of all-time and Robinson
was pretty good at the plate as well. He was so well-rounded that he was eventually enshrined in Cooperstown. Off the field, Robinson has made a name for himself by being a personable and
kind human being, which has given hobbyists even more reason to collect items that relate to this Baltimore legend. In the following article, we look at collecting cards from Robinson's incredible
career.

The Men of T206 - New Book Reveals the Tales of Players Featured in the Storied Set
The T206 baseball set has long been one of the most iconic issues in the hobby. The Monster, as it is often referred to, is enormous in size but also one of the most beautiful sets ever made.
The one aspect of the set that differs from the sets most hobbyists remember collecting as kids is that the backs do not contain any information about the players. There are no statistics or stories
about any of them, from the commons to the Hall of Famers. Tom Zappala has put together a beautiful book, due out in this spring, that will allow collectors to get to know the players who comprise
this magnificent hobby staple. In the following piece, we interview Tom about his exciting new book.

PSA SET REGISTRYSM SPOTLIGHT
McGee Collection - The Number One Current Finest 1988 Kenner Starting Lineup Basketball Set
Many readers can remember the hobby explosion during the 1980s and how it changed the industry forever. At that time, Fleer had very little competition in basketball
cards but there were others who came onto the scene and tried their hand at card manufacturing. One of those companies was Kenner. Who can forget those plastic figurines that
became so popular in the late 1980s? If you remember, those figurines came with a trading card. In 1988, there were 85 different cards made and the set will always have a special
place in hobby history. In most sets, the star cards are the ones that carry the most weight but some of the tougher cards to find here are the likes of Sam Perkins, Mark Eaton and
Thurl Bailey due to varying production numbers. This is the finest complete set on the registry, with a GPA of 8.21. Click

PSA Q & A
Question: What is the primary reason that people attend The National?
Answer: Well, there are many reasons that people attend the annual show. Some go for the opportunity to see so many great collectibles in one room while others go to obtain in-person autographs. On-site authentication and grading, auction previews and show giveaways are also reasons but it seems as if the primary reason has to do with people. Most people attend so they can connect with fellow hobbyists and meet the people they do business with, such as dealers or employees of grading services, in person. It may only be once a year but the show provides a great opportunity to develop relationships with others.
