to this incredible set, The Big Game Auction will feature other football cards and memorabilia. Memory Lane invites you to bid in this special event that

Tiger Woods, perhaps the most recognizable name and face in all of sports, has been getting roasted by fans and media alike during the past few months.
It seems as if everywhere you look, his personal indiscretions are being broken down and discussed in graphic detail. Were athletes of the past treated the
same? In the following piece, Joe Orlando makes no excuse for Tiger but wonders how past icons would have fared in today's world and explores what the future
holds for Woods collectibles.
PSA COLLECTOR'S CORNER
Andy Montero - A Floridian Fan of Gridiron Greats
Andy Montero brings a lot of passion to everything he does, whether he is trying to get the crowd excited at a Miami Heat home game or
trying to complete a collection on the PSA Set Registry. As a longtime PSA graded card collector, he has focused on collecting high-grade examples
of his favorite cards but none of his prized possessions are more important to Montero than his 1973 Topps football set. In the following piece, we
take a look at what drives this devoted family man and hobbyist.
PSA SET REGISTRYSM SPOTLIGHT
Tics and All - The Number One Current Finest Elgin Baylor Master Set
For some collectors, Elgin Baylor was one of the greatest players of all time. Proving himself invaluable early on, earning a Rookie of the Year award,
he helped lead the Lakers to several NBA playoff games until his retirement in 1972. An 11-time NBA All-Star, he was inducted into the NBA Hall of
Fame in 1977. While this master set is not a large one, this collector has populated his set with the highest graded examples, only two of which can be
improved upon. With set rating of 8.23, this set is not far off from the Finest Possible Set Rating of 8.65. It's no wonder this set has won "Best of the
Registry" 2005 through 2009.

PSA Q & A
What is the difference between a professional model player bat and a Pro Stock bat?
A professional model player bat is one that was ordered by the player for use and manufactured to that player's specs (weight, length, knob style, etc).
These bats are the ones most desired by collectors because they feature the player's name on the bat and each bat was requested by that player.
A Pro Stock bat is one that exhibits pro quality wood but is generic in the sense that it does not feature a player's name on the barrel since it was
never ordered specifically for any player. These bats are generally ordered by teams for trial purposes and they may feature the model such as "C271" or
"C161" on the barrel. The players may experiment with one style or another in hopes of finding the one that feels best in their hands. These bats are
often used during spring training or batting practice but, in rare instances, could be used in a game. It is important to note that, in most cases, there
is a big disparity in value between the two types of bats.
Which of the following quarterback rookie cards has the best upside in the next 5 years?
to answer. Results will be posted in the next Insider.
- Peyton Manning
- Drew Brees
- Phillip Rivers
- Mark Sanchez
Results from last survey: 33% felt that Mark McGwire's admission might help the future of his collectibles, but doubted it would have a major impact.
