1951 Bowman Baseball: A Colorful Milestone
The 1951 Bowman Baseball set is, without question, one of the true classics in the hobby. Containing the only true rookie cards of Whitey Ford, Mickey Mantle
and Willie Mays, this 324-card set was the first attempt by Bowman to utilize a full color design. The artwork contained on each card has made this issue a
collector favorite. In the following piece, we break down this super popular set and find out that there is much more to the issue than Whitey, Mickey and Willie.

The Future of the Term "Vintage"
As the hobby matures, the way we define certain things can change. We are rapidly approaching the year 2010, approximately 30 years after the
hobby started to become a nationwide phenomenon. As we move into the future, how should we apply the word "vintage" to sports collectibles?
In the following editorial, Joe Orlando discusses this topic and offers his own opinion of where the line between vintage and modern should be drawn.

PSA Q & A
Question:
I have just started collecting baseball tickets and noticed that some of the highlights of the game are included on the PSA label. Is that
something I have to request if I send in my own tickets to PSA?
Answer:
In short - no. PSA's staff tries to note some of the more significant highlights on the label as part of their normal procedure. We do that since it helps
collectors understand the significance of the game and the ticket itself. On the surface, most tickets (with the exception of special event tickets
like Super Bowl or World Series tickets) appear to be just another ticket to an uneventful game. By noting the highlights on the label, it helps take the guesswork
out of the equation for the buyer so they can be assured that the date/ticket can be positively linked to the highlight (a no-hitter, a milestone home run, etc.).
