1981 Topps Baseball Set - An Affordable Trip Down Memory Lane
If you grew up in the '80s, you remember stars like Fernando Valenzuela and Super Joe Charboneau. These players helped define baseball in the early part of that decade.
Their rookie cards, along with several other star cards of the era, can be found in the 1981 Topps set. This inexpensive set is packed with '80s baseball memories
but does pose a few condition challenges for collectors.

The 1972 Topps Football Set: Full of "Firsts" and "Lasts"
If a set's importance can be judged by the number of things it was the first or last to do, then 1972 Topps Football will always be
considered one of the gridiron greats. It introduced leader cards, Pro Action cards, Roger Staubach and John Riggins. It featured the final card of Gale
Sayers and was the last Topps pigskin set to be released in a series. Beautiful, sharp photos and scarcity issues ensure that the 1972 Topps Football set will have a
lasting legacy among collectors.

PSA SET REGISTRYSM SPOTLIGHT
Teemu - The Number One Current Finest 1970-1979 O-Pee-Chee Wax Pack-Any Series Set
The unopened pack category is fairly new and, in the early going, this set jumped out as one of the first complete runs on the registry.
During the 1970s, O-Pee-Chee continued to manufacture the most popular hockey sets of the time. Always considered much tougher than their Topps counterparts,
the O-Pee-Chee cards sell for a noticeable premium. During this stretch, O-Pee-Chee was responsible for producing some of the most popular hockey rookie cards in the
hobby, from Ken Dryden to Wayne Gretzky. This near complete set has an excellent GPA of 7.95, enabling it to become the first recognized pack collection in the category.

PSA Q & A
Question:
Rookie cards are generally the most valuable cards of a particular player. Does the same rule apply to game-used equipment?
Answer:
While rookie-era jerseys, bats, gloves or any other form of equipment can be amongst the most valuable pieces of game-used items, items that were worn or used during
significant events or seasons can be even more valuable. This would include things like record-breaking seasons, MVP or award-winning years or postseason equipment.
Game-used items are valued not just by age or quality, but also by their link to performance.
