1915 Cracker Jack Baseball
It's no secret that Cracker Jack and baseball have a long relationship. Cracker Jack's association with baseball cards extends all the way back to 1914,
when the company began inserting "surprise" cards in boxes of its product -- cards that usually came out of those boxes with popcorn and candy stains. In 1915,
Cracker Jack addressed this issue by offering the cards by mail, thereby establishing an exquisitely collectible set of the Dead Ball era which is still highly prized almost a century later.

PSA SET REGISTRYSM SPOTLIGHT
Rubberrepeller - The Number One Current Finest 1912-13 C57 Hockey Set
In past years, we have recognized two of the three pre-war hockey classics in the C55 and C56 sets. This year, we decided to complete the trio by awarding
the C57 set, another issue loaded with early Hall of Famers like Georges Vezina and Cyclone Taylor. The set also contains a few key HOF rookies like Punch
Broadbent, Clint Benedict and Eddie Gerard. While the colorful C55 and C56 sets may have more significant individual cards within them, the black and white
C57 set is widely considered the toughest of the three issues. In fact, there are only two complete sets in the Current Finest category with this first time
Best of the Registry winner leading the way with a 4.25 GPA.

PSA Q & A
Question:
Is there a market for game-used equipment after someone's playing days?
Answer:
While the value of equipment manufactured and used during one's playing career far exceeds that of post-career equipment, these artifacts still have value.
For example, since Shoeless Joe Jackson game bats from his playing career are so rare, post-career barnstorming bats have sold in excess of $20,000 at times.
The same can be said of things like coach's equipment (since some former players became coaches later on) and Old Timers items. The value may be substantially less but,
that said, these items still appeal to many collectors.
