PSA EDITORIAL
PSA Q & A Question: What is the story behind the T206 Eddie Plank card?Answer: The T206 Eddie Plank is the second most valuable card in the T206 set, behind the legendary Honus Wagner card. What most people don't realize is just how scarce this card is. The most prevalent theory behind the scarcity is that the printing plate broke during the manufacturing process, leaving many copies out of circulation since they didn't pass quality control. The truth is no one knows for sure. While it is not quite as scarce as the Wagner, it can be almost as difficult to find. There are certainly more mid-to-high quality examples known than there are of the Wagner (most of the known Wagners grade below a PSA VG 3). Like Wagner, Plank is a Hall of Famer, so that fact adds even more to the appeal of the card.
