1962 Topps Mars Attacks Set - Martians Still Have Hobby Appeal
People have always been fascinated with the idea of life on other planets. Many movies and television shows have centered on alien life forms.
Some have been friendly while others have been hostile. In 1962, a trading card set that detailed an alien invasion of Earth hit the market -- Mars Attacks.
This fascinating and colorful issue makes it very clear that these aliens were not friendly at all. In the following article, read more about what makes this
classic non-sports set so popular.

Collecting Cards is a "Hoot" for Rob Taylor
Rob Taylor's collection is focused on one of the great pitchers in MLB history -- Bob Gibson. The hard-throwing righty terrorized batters
throughout the National League and he was never afraid to come inside and back a hitter off the plate. Taylor's passion for collecting was rejuvenated in 2008,
the 40th anniversary of Gibson's amazing 1968 season. In the following piece, Taylor explains how collecting Gibson cards and putting them up on the Set Registry
has been very rewarding.

PSA Set Registry Luncheon at National
Thank you to all who were able to attend. The program consisted of the 2009 award presentations, a hilarious, not to mention surprising, introduction from
Joe Orlando, followed by an impromptu and entertaining speech from this year's HOF inductee, Michael Rakosi. Wrapping the event up was a spirited Q&A session
with Joe.

PSA Q & A
Question:
When it comes to awards, which one is considered the most valuable?
Answer:
Over the years, the award that seems to generate the highest price at auction has been the Heisman Trophy. They have sold for over $250,000 in the past.
After that, baseball MVP awards seem to be next in line with several examples eclipsing the $100,000 mark over the years. There are many other awards and
trophies from various sports that have generated tremendous prices at auction, from Cy Young Awards to Championship Boxing Belts, but the two noted above seem
to be the consistent leaders.
