PSA SET REVIEW
PSA PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
PSA Q & A Question: I have read that Ty Cobb wasn't exactly the nicest guy in the world yet I see a ton of autographs in the market. What gives?Answer: Sometimes, demeanor is a great indicator of signing habits and sometimes it's not. With Babe Ruth, his signing habits seem to match his personality. He was extremely social and outgoing. Ruth was also the most prolific signer of his era. Ty Cobb was a terror on the field and not exactly the most personable player in the game but he was considered a fairly prolific signer, one who replied to a lot of fan mail over his life. In contrast, Lou Gehrig was known to be one of the nicest guys in the game yet, due to his shyness, he did not sign autographs nearly as much.
