PSA SET REVIEW
1960 Fleer Baseball: Something Old, Something New, Something Scarce, Too
Fleer was new to the baseball card game in 1960, having just issued their first-ever set a year earlier. To compete with Topps, who had a virtual monopoly on trading card contracts, Fleer issued a set of all-time "Baseball Greats." The result was a small, affordable set, loaded with Hall of Famers, that isn't difficult to complete and provides a wealth of statistics and biographical information on players, managers, and executives from the golden days of baseball. Click here to read more about this set.
PSA SET HISTORY
The 1955 Topps Baseball Set One of the most classic baseball card sets ever produced is 50 years old this year and, needless to say, the set has not lost a bit of its luster since it was first issued back in 1955. Click here to read more about it.

PSA Q & A
Question:
Is it desirable to have a player from one sport sign an item related to another sport?
Answer:
In some cases - yes - due to the unique nature of the piece. For example, a couple of Mickey Mantle signed footballs signed "536 Home Runs, 0 Touchdowns" have brought a few thousand dollars a piece due to the unique quality of the items. In addition, it is very common to see baseballs signed by football and basketball players or, in some cases, celebrities from the entertainment or political worlds. The signed baseball is considered by many to be the most desirable medium for collecting autographs.
