PSA MARKET REPORT

New Product... Old Problem
Think that cut signatures on modern card issues are authentic? If the cards are from major manufacturers, why wouldn't they be? Unfortunately, if no third-party authenticator is consulted, fake or clubhouse signatures may make their way onto the cards. PSA President Joe Orlando explains why consumers need to demand authentication for modern issues. Click here to read on.

PSA COLLECTOR'S CORNER
"Those Gems Are Still Out There and Waiting for You"
Ungraded vintage baseball cards in near-mint to mint condition aren't as plentiful as they once were, but you can still find them if you're patient and keep your eyes and ears open. In this article, collector Rich Dyer explains how he has managed to unearth many raw gems and turn them into PSA 9's. Click here to continue.

SET REGISTRY SPOTLIGHT
Wheels1313 Collection - The Number One Current Finest 1993-94 Finest Refractor Set
Wheels has held on to the number one spot for almost a year with little competition. The closest competitor's set is only .45% complete. (Wheels also owns the KWH sets as well, so he appears to have a monopoly on these refractors!) Looks like he's set to win for 2004! Congratulations to Wheels! Click here to enjoy!
- Set Requests and New PSA Set RegistrySM Software Timeline
We are in the process of testing the new PSA Set RegistrySM software. This is a very time-consuming project because we must make certain that every item in every set composite has a unique number. In order to get this accomplished in a timely fashion, the entire Set Registry staff will be working on this project. Therefore, please make note of the following set request issues:
- For the next 4-6 weeks any new set request received will be added to the Set Request List, however the composite will not be put online until after the launch of the new Registry software. We hope to be beta testing at the end of August and launch the new software by mid-September.
- Any requests received after August 31st for card additions to player sets which are already online will not be added to the player sets until after the awards deadline on October 31st.
- Customer service issues such as the release of cards from other member's sets, certification number problems, and codes for free grading should not be affected during this test time. Should you have any questions, please email setregistry@collectors.com.
Set Registry Special! $12 per card/5 business days - cards valued up tp $500. No Minimum. (Excludes Super Sized cards.) Click here for details.

PSA Q & A
Question:
I was watching eBay the other day and noticed a panel (2 cards) of 1951 Topps Ringside cards for sale and graded by PSA. Was this a mistake or do you guys grade them as full panels?
Answer:
PSA actually will grade entire panels of a few different issues as long as those panels will fit into one of the custom holders. For example, 1951 Topps Ringsides, 1951 Topps Blue and Red Backs and some Bazooka panels are just some examples of this. If you can find a high-grade/full panel, you may be in luck because collectors have been paying premiums for these examples.
