PSA VINTAGE SET REVIEW
Those Towering Tall Boys
What's the most eye-appealing football set? Not an easy choice, and you'll get different answers depending on which collector you ask, but one set that's definitely in the running is 1965 Topps Football. These huge 2.5" x 5" beauties really stand out -- and not only because of their size. Bold colors, nice designs and collecting considerations like short prints and star cards have given these Tall Boys a towering popularity.
The Art of Ron Lewis
Knee injuries have cut short the careers of many a promising athlete. It's usually a tragic thing, but in the case of 500 Home Run Club painter Ron Lewis, a knee injury may have been the best thing that could have happened to him. This mishap forced the promising high school athlete to pursue a different course -- art -- and the sports collectibles world received perhaps its most talented and recognizable artist as a result.

OUR READERS ASK
I want to buy a Barry Bonds rookie card but I am not sure which one to buy. Do you have any advice?
Barry Bonds has several good early cards, namely the 86 Donruss Rookies, Fleer Update, Topps Traded, Topps Traded Tiffany, 87 Fleer and 87 Fleer Glossy versions. Most collectors feel that the 87 Fleer (regular issue) is his best early card, at least the most popular. While the Glossy version is more limited, they are easier to find in high-grade than the regular version. The 86 Bonds cards are all tough in Gem Mint 10 but not quite as mainstream as the 87 Fleer. It's always best to stick with the most popular choice.
Simple question, simple answer: who is going to win the World Series this year, the Anaheim Angels or the San Francisco Giants?

Results from last survey: Peering far into the future, 47% rejected our choices (San Diego, New England, Green Bay, and Oakland) to say that someone else will win the Super Bowl this year. Click here for a complete breakdown.
