Verification of certification numbers does not eliminate the risk of buying counterfeit collectibles.

Though uncommon, forgers may counterfeit PSA & PSA/DNA documents using certification numbers derived from public sources.

As a general rule, PSA encourages the purchase of PSA & PSA/DNA certified items from Authorized Dealers.
