Legacy's owner, Greg Bussineau, comments: "We are excited to be able to offer an outstanding selection of PSA graded Registry Sets in this auction. Most come from a single owner who spent years putting these together. We also have a tremendous group of high-grade 1932 US Caramels, including one of the finest #26 Lou Gehrig cards I've ever seen. The selection and quality of 1957-58 Topps basketball cards are superb. And we have perhaps the most attractive group of 1940 Lone Ranger cards ever to appear at auction."

Important Bidding Note: Starting with this auction, there is no longer a requirement to place a bid on a lot of interest prior to 11:00 pm EST on the final day of bidding in order to be eligible to continue bidding on that lot after 11:00 pm. All lots will be open for bidding to any registered bidder until the lot is closed. On a lot by lot basis, each lot is closed as soon as a period of 30 minutes of no bidding activity elapses after the 11:00 pm EST countdown clock begins.

Legacy's next auction is scheduled for summer 2011. Consignments for the sale are currently being accepted. Preferred commission rates and cash advances are available to early consignors. Anyone interested in having their items included in the auction should call Greg Bussineau at (231) 922-8037.

Legacy Sports Rarities was formed in 2002 by veteran dealer Greg Bussineau. Bussineau originally founded Superior Sportcard in 1982, and Superior Sports Auctions in 1996. Superior Sports Auctions was acquired by Collectors Universe in 1999, upon agreement that Bussineau would stay on and run the company for three years. At the end of this period, Bussineau went back into business for himself and formed Legacy Sports Rarities.

In addition to buying and selling many of the most important sportscards ever produced, Bussineau has been instrumental in helping to assemble some of the greatest sportscard collections in history. He was chosen to auction off the personal memorabilia collection of basketball Hall-of-Famer Bill Sharman, as well as the personal sportscard collection of PSA founder David Hall. Bussineau was also one of three people who helped to formulate the original grading standards employed by PSA - the world's largest independent sportscard third-party grading and authentication service.
