The 1990s were good to the Atlanta Braves. Collectors and fans alike enjoyed the teams many success on the field. Unfortunately, the end of the decade has shown some signs of wear and misfortune. First, slugger Andres Gallaraga is on the shelf battling cancer and now relief pitcher Kerry Lightenberg, who was expected again to be the closer for the defending NL East champs, is shelved for a month -- possibly longer. Look for the Braves to be among the most active seeking a trade before the start of the season in three weeks, particularly if former closer Mark Wohlers doesn't regain his form in the closing weeks of spring training.
