Also the Auction offers Hank Aaron’s 704 Home Run bat complete with the eye witness provenance from the Batboy at the event to whom Aaron gave the bat (Lot 3). It’s authenticated and graded an ultra high A9.5 by MEARS. Overall the Auction offers almost two dozen great signed and/or game used bats including a rare find, a Stan Musial game used bat authenticated by PSA/DNA (Lot 1205).
There is a group of rare handwritten letters offered in the Auction as well. Lot 1112 is a spectacular handwritten Barry Bonds Majors Scout Evaluation Card written when Barry was 16 years old and has a fabulous notation at the top: “Future Super Star.” And Lot 1113 is a handwritten letter by Alexander Joy Cartwright, the recognized founder of the game, and Lot 1114 is a handwritten letter by A. G. Spalding, another great pioneer in the game. There are two HOF First Day Cover signatures from two of basketball’s first and original 1891 Team members! These are Unbelievable pieces of the game’s history!
