“While our standard auction format will remain live, we’ve found that most of our trading card collecting clientele prefer the popular ‘thirty minute rule’ style,” explained Chris Ivy, Director of Heritage Auction Galleries’ Sports Collectibles division. “Given this fact, we will adopt this method for all of our Signature Auction trading card lots.”
Extended bidding will add more excitement to the proceedings, Ivy predicts, with each lot closing only when bidding activity ceases for a period of thirty minutes after the 10 PM Central time deadline. All other offerings within the Signature auction will continue to be presented in a live format in the second session of the auction that will close on Saturday October 27th.
